1. What OneDollarStreets Is
OneDollarStreets ("ODS", "we", "us") operates a digital novelty registry. When you purchase a street entry on ODS, you are purchasing a digital registry listing that references a real street name. Nothing more. You are not purchasing any ownership of, or rights to, the physical street, any land, property, or real estate rights of any kind, any legal title or official recognition, any affiliation with any local council, government body, or public authority, or any rights to restrict others from using, living on, or accessing the named street. ODS has no affiliation with any local authority or government body. Street names used on this platform are publicly available geographic references.
2. What Your Purchase Includes
When you complete a purchase on ODS, you receive: a digital registry entry in the ODS Street Registry database, your chosen name, website link, and tagline displayed in the ODS map popup for that street, the street highlighted on the ODS map for as long as ODS operates, and the ability to list your registry entry for resale on the ODS marketplace. Your registry entry is a digital collectible — a tradable entry in a community marketplace. It is not a financial product, investment vehicle, or asset of guaranteed value.
3. Definitions
"Ownership" on ODS means: ownership of a digital registry entry that references a street name. It does not mean ownership of, or any rights over, the physical street or any associated land or property. "Registry Entry" means: a record in the ODS database associating a street name with a purchaser's chosen display information. "Resale" means: the transfer of a registry entry from one ODS user to another via the ODS marketplace.
4. Not an Investment Product
ODS registry entries are digital novelty collectibles. They are not an investment product, not a speculative financial asset, not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any financial regulator, not guaranteed to increase or retain value, and not a vehicle for financial return. No statement made by ODS should be construed as a promise of financial return, investment advice, or a guarantee of resale value.
5. Acceptable Use
By purchasing a registry entry you agree that your display name, website link, and tagline will not contain profanity, offensive language, or hate speech, will not link to adult, illegal, or harmful content, will not impersonate another person, business, or organisation, will not be used for spam, phishing, or fraudulent purposes, and will not promote illegal activities. We reserve the right to remove any registry entry that violates these conditions without notice and without refund. The street entry will be returned to available status. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent account closure with no right to purchase further entries.
6. Content Moderation
ODS operates a reporting system. Any member of the public can report a registry entry they believe violates these terms. We will review all reports and act accordingly. We are not liable for any content posted by users prior to its removal. By purchasing a registry entry you accept responsibility for the content you display.
7. Availability of the Service
ODS operates on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee continuous availability of the website or map, that the service will operate indefinitely, or that registry entries will be maintained forever. In the event ODS ceases to operate, no compensation or refund will be owed for registry entries purchased.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ODS shall not be liable for any loss of value of a registry entry, any indirect, consequential, or speculative loss, any loss arising from reliance on ODS as an investment or financial product, or any technical failures, data loss, or service interruption.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of ODS following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
